Europe Trip - London (17-18 Oct)

Saturday, 17 October 2009

Today was set aside for Madame Tussuad's, and it was worth it!

Situated close to Baker Street Tube Station, we first ran into Sherlock Holmes, and then we entered the wax museum...

Mr Branson and I had a little discussion, and maybe next time I'll fly Virgin!

After meeting the fellow Contiki tour mates, we had a pint at the local Pub, and then joined the group for dinner.

We had a nice breakfast, and set off to Stonehenge - about 2 hour's drive from central London.

After about 90 minutes at Stonehenge, we drove another hour to the city of Bath, where the ancient Roman baths are.

The Bath Abbey was absolutely unbelievable - according to our tour manager, build in the years 800 AD, but inside the Abbey, there is a plaque with dates as far back as 676... Amazing!

On our way back to the coach, after a very expensive cup of coffee, we saw this cute mosaiced pig! Oink! :o)
