2010 Update

Wow, It's been a long time since I updated my blog!!! Sorry about that! Been a bit busy with the pregnancy and everything... I am proud to say I am now 28 weeks pregnant with a boy, and everything is going very well! =)

So, let me introduce a few of my latest projects!

I made this little utensil holder for my friends' baby, Andia, using decoupage & tiles.

My sister-in-law, Shani, got married in January, and this is the frame I made for them as a wedding gift.

This is also Shani's, with dark green paper decoupaged, and brown birds.

This double pot stands belongs to Gideoni, indeed very handy!
Anmarie ordered 33 coasters for a workshop at her work. I drilled holes into the one corner so the coasters got converted into a cute decoration.
Tekkies helped with this massive order! The last photo is her babies...

Speaking of Tekkies, here's some of her frames.
Okay, that's it for now! I am busy working on a few things, once they're finished, I'll post them asap!

Take care of yourself!

Marika. =)

Odds & Ends before Christmas...

Good Morning!

I have to tell you a story regarding this frame I made. Remember the "SWEM" I made for Susan, and her little angel loving it so much, and calling it Fantasties? Well, she loves seeing herself in the mirrors, so I made this mirrored daisy for Annabelle. Cute, huh?
Madre is spoiling her colleagues with pot stands for Christmas....

...one for Alida...

...and one for Zelna.

Shani ordered this chocolate brown keyring holder with white polka dots, and cake-forks bended so you can hang keys, or dishcloths, etc.

These are some of Tekkies' projects. Super nice!!!

That's all for now. Enjoy your Christmas!

Mirror Mirror on the wall...

As promised, the much-loved mirror frames, one of Jacqui's many excellent ideas!

This one belongs to Christal...

... and this one to one of my new clients, Annmarie Siebrits.

Frames (vol. 2)

More frames. I'm telling you - its the best gift!

I made a frame for Werner's Ouma, and what better than a photo of the two of them?

This idea I got from Jacqui @ Mosaic Works. I just love it! Christal apparently also, as she ordered one this weekend, so you will shortly see another variety of this one.

Tekkies, my friend that made the two trays in her first "class", tried her hand at a photo frame. Beautiful!

Frames

Pictures, Mirrors, Light Switches.... It just looks better framed!

This frame I made the same day I finished my 1st class. I was so excited and bought these beautiful tiles, and just HAD to make something. Found an old frame lying around, and voila!

I took an advanced course to learn how to nip the tile to be round. So I learned how to make the roses... I gave it as a gift to my mother-in-law.

I got an order to make a frame for a sepia wedding photo. Think this will work, huh?
