Odds & Ends before Christmas...

Good Morning!

I have to tell you a story regarding this frame I made. Remember the "SWEM" I made for Susan, and her little angel loving it so much, and calling it Fantasties? Well, she loves seeing herself in the mirrors, so I made this mirrored daisy for Annabelle. Cute, huh?
Madre is spoiling her colleagues with pot stands for Christmas....

...one for Alida...

...and one for Zelna.

Shani ordered this chocolate brown keyring holder with white polka dots, and cake-forks bended so you can hang keys, or dishcloths, etc.

These are some of Tekkies' projects. Super nice!!!

That's all for now. Enjoy your Christmas!

Some new stuff...

Hi guys!

Some new stuff for you to feast your eyes on! =)

I don't know how to explain this, but it's purely decorative. It hangs above my guest bedroom door. Mu-u-uch bigger than its looks here.

This is Tekkies' gecko I mentioned in my previous post. I just love it! Such originality! I don't even think of her as my student anymore - more a partner in mosaicing!
Mmmmm. These three little guys makes me very nervous! It's an order by Gideoni for her sister-in-law, but I'm so afraid she won't like it... Let's hope for the best... (Gideoni - ek hoop jy hou hiervan... as jy doen, los 'n comment hieronder die post, anders moet jy maar jou skinkbord kom gryp en weghol!)

Another baby name board. I love making these! Madre ordered it for her sister's baby due in December.
Well, that's all for now, folks!
I actually started with the giant snail!!! So piccies will be up shortly. Still in the making: a name board the shape of a truck (by tekkies), 2 more frames (also tekkies) and then one big and one teaspoon tray for Gideoni.
Thanks for visiting!

Candle and Magazine holders

So I have another addiction, so what? At least I can make a pretty magazine holder for my addiction of cook-books!

Decoupaged with ceramic chillies.

This was made by me & Tekkies for a very special girl, Marianne as a wedding gift!

House Numbers (vol. 2)

Every house has a number!

Tekkies made this one for her in-laws.

Frames (vol. 2)

More frames. I'm telling you - its the best gift!

I made a frame for Werner's Ouma, and what better than a photo of the two of them?

This idea I got from Jacqui @ Mosaic Works. I just love it! Christal apparently also, as she ordered one this weekend, so you will shortly see another variety of this one.

Tekkies, my friend that made the two trays in her first "class", tried her hand at a photo frame. Beautiful!

Tables & Trays

I grew up with these hideous little side tables. Wooden top and steel frame. Just hideous really. And so, lucky for us, my sister took them when she moved out of the house.

Years later, still hanging on to them, she asked me to mosaic them. You won't believe the difference!
Not so hideous anymore! ;-)

Its funny how you make all these nice stuff for other people, but you're still using your old stuff, that could look better. That's how it is with me and trays. I've made these nice trays and sold them all. At the moment I am busy with 3 large trays, and will post them when finished, and some day soon, I will make myself one too.

I just loved these newspaper tiles, with words & sheet music on. It belongs to Shani now, and I must say, it fits perfectly in her new kitchen!

Teaspoon & teabag trays. Very handy.

These two belong to my very first student, Tekkies! She damaged her trays, and asked me if I will help her make them pretty again. Job well done, T!
